    Star Trek question?

I've been collecting Mego figures for many years: WGSH's / Monsters / Apes / Action Jackson / Wizard of Oz / and lots of customs, but I never got into the Star Trek figures......until now.......these are just as killer as the WGSH's and the rest.......now I have to have them all (Mego / not EMCE)....working on it at the moment.............ok, so my question is...WHY is the Gorn figure that EMCE made dressed different than the Mego figure ? ......also is the Mego Gorn clothing the SAME as the Klingon ?........THANKS.....

I assumed that the EMCE version of the costume was changed to be more like what the gorn wears during his actual TV show appearance. People are free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, the EMCE Gorn is show accurate.
And the Mego Gorn does have the same outfit as the Klingon

In the show, the Gorn was green and dressed more like the EMCE version.

Mego took the cheap route and used a WGSH Lizard head, but being afraid it would look like the Lizard made him brown. Also being cheap they just slapped Klingon clothes and accessories on him. Or perhaps they just thought Lizard in a dress wouldn't sell.

Quick vintage Gorn "custom": put him in an Ursus or (cheaper) Soldier Ape suit.

Still Mego, still vintage, looks slightly more like the show. I like it!
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.
