Price check - LJN Rookies Police Car

I'd like to pick up one of these for a project, but how much do they go for? I tried a few eBay searches and haven't see one yet. Are there any other Mego-scale police cars that look like they're about the same year/make/model?

How about I leave the expensive minty ones to you and you leave the cheap ones for me.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any cheap ones left,I'm looking for one to go with my Hulk hunt set up. I've 9 Emergency and Rookies figures displayed chasing the Hulk.Several armed and 2 holding a big net,and a couple allready pummeled by Hulk.Always thought the car would look good kinda crashed in the front alittle like Hulk smooshed it.Thought of using a Rosco patrol car,but those are just as pricey.Good luck on your hunt, what did you want to make yours into?

I don't know if I'm going to do it now, because the car sounds a little pricey for me to repaint. My husband wants Blues Brothers customs and when he saw the Rookies car he thought it might be a good match to redo as the Bluesmobile.

I'd be willing to bet there's something else out there a lot more common and a lot cheaper that you could paint and maybe add some custom (or repurposed) police lights to the roof. In fact that actually sounds like a good idea. Might have to track something down myslef. Finding proper Mego scale by looking online might be the tricky part though. Doubt too many sellers will have Megos handy to check scale, LOL.

Are the LJN police cars 8" scale? The Rosco cars are 3 3/4" scale, so wouldn't that be too small?
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

The 8" scale vehicles are way too small really but that's what they made them for. They are pretty cramped.
I'm not sure which vehicle is being called the Rosco car but I didn't ask.
I was thinking the same thing as you, though.
Plus that one is a 1950's car and nothing like the actual cruisers on the DoH show.

At one point I was watching auctions for the LJN Rookies car, SWAT van and Emergency fire truck. They seem rather scarce and pricey. They really don't turn up very often and even loose, played with ones were going for a fair amount of money if I recall.
