This may explain a long asked Mego question...

Many of asked "Why is Mego's Hulk so darn short???
    Screenshot 2025-07-18 172540.png
This is a screen grab of the 60's cartoon of Marvel Hero cartoons from the 60's
I have heard that Mego based their designs on these 60's cartoon shows that were still
playing in the 70s. It wasn't until recently that I found this picture. I have don't remember
the characters ever pictured in group. But if Mego had this picture, it would explain a lot.

Nice find, thanks for sharing. Still can’t understand the reason for the Hulk being shorter than the others? at least be the same height.

That's a good theory. It makes about as much sense as any I've heard. My other guess is that it was a new body, and the folks designing it just didn't take into much consideration that when assembled the muscled body would be shorter than the standard 8" Type 1 body. They got in the ballpark and said "Ehh, good enough."

My theory would be that, due to the more muscular physique of the new body, they shortened the height so as to use approximately the same amount of plastic overall compared to the standard body. That way the overall materials cost would be about the same compared to the other figures in the line.

Funny that we cant just ask about it during the many interviews made recently.

Great find and theory by the way.
