    T1 and T2 Riddler differences

What are some distinct differences? I didn't see too many comparisons in the pages of the museum. The obvious of course is the the body. But what about the head, (plastic) belt and suit.

And which is the more desirable (I guess that could be subjective but I suppose I mean rarer) of the two.

From my own experience, I see one Type 2 Riddler for every 9 Type 1 Riddlers. I'm not sure if he's only 10% of the equation, but he's definitely scarcer.

Other than the neck plugs, I'm not sure of any differences between the two.

I was wondering about the belt differences, too--casting, opacity, size, etc.

      Will a T1 Riddler plastic belt fit a T2?

I think the galleries here said there's a difference in the '?' on the Type 1 and Type 2 suits.

All four arch enemies are definitely scarcer on T2 bodies. Since the Riddler is already the scarcest Batman villian, a T2 Riddler is even more so. Many collectors don't really care about the variation, I sometimes see a bit of a premium on T2 versions of these guys, but nothing major.

Face it you won't be content untill you have one of each, start asking Santa now and there might be one under the tree come Christmas.

I wonder what a Mattel Riddler would look like. I'm doubting he'd be sporting the one-piece jammies. Or at least maybe he'd have some boots this time.

Cjeffery's right to say that all four are harder to find as T2's. What I've been able to deduce, T2 Riddler's became a victim of a few factors.

Fist-Fighters were introduced, so that ate up what would have been a number of standard T2 runs.

Riddler's and Mxyz's have different colored purple hands, darker and lighter respectively, so you don't have as deep a pool of mass parts to pull out of.

Marvel had begun to devour the WGSH line when T2 took over for T1.

Is this an actual fact or are just the majority like this? It's almost never safe to talk in absolutes when it comes to Mego. Isn't is possible for either shade (or possibly even more than 2 shades?) to be on either figure?
In fact I was just looking a thread that showed Fist Fighter Joker & Riddler with flesh-colored hands sealed in factory mailer bags.

I've owned 3 carded Mxys and 3 loose t2/FF Riddlers.

The Mxys all had slightly lighter "lavender" hands. The Riddlers all had darker hands, but there were variations amongst them.

Even the wrist pegs can vary in color.

Any comment on whether a t1 Belt will fit a t2 Riddler?

In general, suits that came on T2 figures are usually slightly larger than their T1 counterparts. This is to accommodate the bulkier body T2 body.

Try and put a T1 Shazam suit on a T2 body and you'll see what I mean.

In my experience I've found the type Riddler body suit doesn't fit great.

I just got a type 2 Riddler in the mail today from a recent auction. A few interesting points:
                          - the head is turning grey, like other late-run figures.
                          - the purple color from the hands & belt has stained the costume. Anyone have experience cleaning that?
                          - The type 2 belt fits my type 1 Riddler just as well.
