That is a good point , is it supplied by a true collector or did the studio just buy whatever it could to put on the set, and where is most of that stuff now. Was it taken by crew and cast, sold off, stuffed in a studio warehouse.? .... the mystery thickens !

I took an MGM behind the scenes tour once and we went thru the props warehouse and I saw all kinds of stuff including some old toys tagged with what movies they had been used in

I kind of thought it was funny that one of the plot points was that he kept Aquaman mint in the box as a kid, and later on is shown to be embracing change by letting the kids of his love interest open some of his toys. Of course he lets them open up and play with those crappy Toy Biz Spiderman/Marvel boxed figures from the nineties.

I think Judd Apatow is a Mego enthusiast. He makes mention of Micronauts in Freaks and Geeks and it seems like there is another Mego reference in one of his films as well.

On the old board I believe someone mentioned the at least the Iron man box was a repro.

Towards the end of the movie as they were packing up his stuff to sell on e bay hes holding in his hand a mint in box iron man also a mint captain action on display with an oscar goldman loose but mint in his so on and so on,man i wish i worked on that movie as the toy wrangler .

I must have missed the boxed Megos. I noticed the loose Thing and Aquaman (of course), but from what I remember, most of the boxed stuff was modern, while most of the vintage stuff seemed to be loose. Of course, I didn't go through the scene frame by frame (although I was tempted to) so I may have missed some stuff.
