Sewn on sleeves. Do they do anything for you?

Just wondering really if they make any difference for you as a collector?

I was looking at my two T1 Superman figures last night and I have never noticed before that one of them is the sewn on sleeve variation. It got me thinking if it means anything?
The only thing I can think (after then reading Bens book) is that the SOS is the older of the two figures and therefore possibly harder to find in good condition. Is there anything else I am missing?

well I don't know about value specifically but I do think they are rarer. I love the SOS guys I have 4 or 5 of them. They add a dynamic big shoulder effect to T1's that I just love.

Actually, yes they do. I like the variation. I've only had 2. Now those are gone. But if I get them again, I'll hang on to them.

It's just been in the last few years these have become as collectible as they are I think. There is no telling hw many SOS Spideys or Supes I've either seen or had over the years but had never paid any attention to them.

I don't believe they were made with any real intent. I'm guessing it was just the pattern they were using at the time of manufacturing. But they make a nice varation to hunt for.

I prefer them on the early T1 figures - especially Aquaman and Shazam.

It's a tighter fit, and looks better tailored than the simpler pattern.

yes, i have a couple and think they look good. but only on T1s (i've only seen them on T1s) i agree with said above.
i like the way the it makes the shoulders look, and overall the suit looks better.

I agree about Aquaman and Shazam. I have SOS T1s of these two and like the way the suits fit on them. They look a bit more "heroic" for some reason.

Sorry to jump into the discussion so late but I have to agree with the couple of posts above me. I have a solid boxed Aquaman with SOS and it is by far my favorite figure of my collection. I like the way SOS look on all figures as well

You know sadly , I don't think I have or ever have had any with SOS. I am curious to dig through stuff and old pics to see.

If i had to choose, I'd go SOS but I really don't mind either.
