    Lizard tail stuffed with....?

    Hi Folks,
Got me a nekkid Lizzy coming. Chances are good I might have to make my own suit for him.
What did they use for stuffing in his tail?
Anyone ever wash a Lizzy outfit? Did the tail survive?

I didn't use the washing machine or dryer. I used a small bowl with cold water, some soap and Shout. The Lizard outfit and the tail came out great. Good Luck!!

T, I think the tail is stuffed with the same stuff that pillows are stuffed with these days. Hope that helps.

Oh, I would never machine wash. I always hand wash and dry flat.
I was just curious if the tail makes it thru, if I should happen to find an outfit and wash it.

        Thanks for the comments

As long as it's not the stuff used in Beanie Babies.

I heard they used wadded up secret identity outfits.

Ok, I'm gearing up to make a total repro outfit for my Lizzy!

Would someone be kind enough to measure a tail for me? Tip to base, then dia. at the base?

              Thank you in advance

The tail is about 6" long and around 2.5" at the base.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

I use the stuffing from a pet toy. We have tons of them and the dogs always "gut" em quick so there is plenty around.
Pet toys are often cheap as well. You can usually find a stupid one on sale for a buck a wallyworld.

Awesome! Thanks for these replies today!
I have started on 2 suits! I have the tank top sewn up and will work on the leggings.
                    Then comes the tail!
All I have for reference is pics of my old one and a couple other sources.
And from those pics I estimated the length by counting the scales.
But a real measurement is much appreciated!

I made a mold of the tale King of Cobra La (g I joe line) and used air cureing rubber with wire in the middle for my tailess Lizard and for my scorpian.

Ya know, the wire idea sounds cool!
I got this piece that was used as a tie down from the McFarlane alien figure I been kicking around.
Ha! Maybe this is why I kept it?
