Is Smirking Myx & Penguin the same sculpt ?

I never thought about this until I just read the Palitoy Penguin thread in Buzz.

I never owned a smirking Myx, so I can only compare using small internet photo's.

If they are different, could one of them have been a resculpt of the other ?

To me they look very close.

They aren't exact. There is a slight difference on every feature but similar enough. If they were alive, I'd swear they were brothers.

You know I never thought about that before. But now that you mention it. I think it could be a possibility. They really do have a similiar look. Or maybe they were sculpted by the same person

Hobub is correct: they're very similar but unique.

Ben H. of World's Greatest Toys prefers smirking Mxy, but I like the revision and it reflects the copy art much more closely. It makes Mxy seem more individual and I've always thought that the initial similarity of the two foes might have been one factor in DC insisting upon a re-sculpt.
