Also I know the mego CA didn't have gloves for some reason, but did the ledy CA have them?

Some Ledy Caps had red gloves, but I think that some were also issued without gloves (some Ledy figures had a number of outfit variations during their production run)

Seeing as there is an opening along the back of the costume, I don't find it surprising that there's no detail back there. Perhaps had they silkscreened the star on the front they might have done the same on the back (like spidey's spider)?
I had given thought to altering my Cap to look more authentic but after realizing all the modifications I would need to do I decided to just have him be original Mego and if I want a more authentic Cap I will make a custom one later.

Well I got my loose Captain America in front of me now and he has no emblem on his back. Just 2 snaps and the red and white print from the flag. You , myself , and many others thought it strange that Cap didnt come with gloves , not to mention that the sleaves on his costume are all wrong for the character. It's been said a million times , so 1 more wont hurt.....White sleaves from say the elbow down and if they didnt want to spring for gloves at least give the man red hands....like spidey!!! I will tell you though , yours is the first That I heard a question/request for the star on the back of the outfit!!! Good luck with that and everything else!!!.........Anderson

I've seen quite a few repro emblems. I haven't seen any felt stars for Captain America. Does anyone know if they're available. Did the figure have a star on the back of the uniform as he did in the comics? Also I know the mego CA didn't have gloves for some reason, but did the ledy CA have them?
