Who's That Girl?

Hi there,

I'm new here and I just joined to see if anyone can identify a doll for me. I hope this is okay to do that here? I was at an estate sale last week and ended up finding a suitcase full of Barbies, etc. One of them was this doll that doesn't have Mattel on it, and is actually unmarked from what I could see. However the outfit she was wearing was this one, and the tag had "MEGO" on it, which led me to this site as I am not a doll collector or anything and don't know much.

I'm just curious about who she is, or if the outfit isn't hers, then who the outfit originally belongs to....

Does anyone out there recognize her?

How tall is she? The face looks familiar, but between the small pic and the glasses, I can't quite tell. It's not an 8" Mego body, you can tell by the wrists. Kind of has that Dollikin pout though.

Where did you find the doll at, meaning was it in the US or another country? Also look on the back, insde the leg and bottom of the foot for any markings and how tall is she?

Looks like one of the Pedigree dolls that Mego made clothes for, possibly Sindy.

So like i said, her outfit has a tag that says MEGO, but the actual doll does not.

On the doll, she has the following markings:

Made In Hong Kong
No. 5011 1/2

Above it is some weird symbol/logo that I can't quite make out but sorta looks like:

Still looking, but could you post a pic without her clothing? Also, how tall is she? Since she's wearing Mego clothing, she'd almost have to be about 8" or in the 12" range.

yes that's the emblem! i guess she's a Camay doll then... hmm. i wonder where the Mego outfit's from then.

Here's an auction for that doll. It says she's 11 1/2 inches tall and her Quaker style clothes are all original.
