I do make custom boxes for all my custom figures. I don't use paper either. I print on white vinly. It's the same stuff I make my decals out of. Outdoor grade inks and vinly. The inks actually burn into the vinly. Nice gloss finish that's waterproof with built-in UV protection. All done on a very special printer. Not one that you can pick-up at your local wally world. It's been awhile since I checked, but these printers start at 10Gs.

That be a great way to make an Aquaman box (waterproof edition)

That used to be a problem with my early boxes. I ended up putting a piece of transparent tape on the insert roof where the head met to guard against that.

I have received boxes from Mike (Mego73) and they were top notch. They have the look and feel like the originals.
I have received cards from Anthony (TheToyRoom) and they were also top notch. Again, having the look and feel of the originals.
I too have access to software and printing places who could probably print up a similar quality job and maybe save me a buck here and there, but why? These two guys here know their stuff, have been doing it for awhile and have worked the kinks out, plus they know me and what I want now being a regular customer. Plus I like the fact that I am supporting members here.
I am a busy person with work, family, house, cars, etc and the extra time I have for "fun" things like this can be small, so I like the ease of telling them what I want and then getting what I asked for quickly and inexpensively, allowing me to then be able to move on to other things. That is priceless in my book.
Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

i have never gotten a repro box from anyone, but i have gotten repro cards from toyroom, and mike and are both exceptional products.
an upsode to anthonys(toyrom) is that i like to take my figures on and off the card so i put tape on the bubble instead of the adhesive.but the problem was that the cards were hanging so with anthonys card the tape didnt take off any of the graphic of the card.
other than that there isnt really any upside or downsides. they both make great products.
