Is there a way to keep de-grayed heads from turning back?

I just used Tire Wet and red Plastidip and got good results. Is there anything I should do to keep them from going gray again? There's still a little Tire Wet on them, so I'd like to clean them before putting them on bodies, but I wanted to see if anyone recommended something specific to use.

I have only degrayed 2 heads and one reverted right back. I am not sure if it's a maintenence that will be required frequently or not. I now will not buy any gray heads. I avoid them like the plague. I am sure others may have different experiences though.

I know it wouldn't be original but has anyone had any luck matching the skin tone in a paint and just painting over the gray? Not sure what that would look like but probably better than gray?

That's an Option, not one I care for, but possibly one others might not mind. My solution......Don't buy or replace it. I am not very good at the painting aspect , the only thing I am good at is the designing aspect.I think this why i customize so few figures.

You could try keeping them in the dark (which is not ideal for a collectible is it?). I've had good luck with a Bo head I did a few years back, but hes always packed away and out of the light. Only issue I've had is his head has turned sticky for some reason?
