    Head rubs

I'm pretty new to collecting Megos and was wondering if anything can be done for head paint rubs. I just got a nice complete Frankenstein and he's got a decent amount of hair loss - ha ha. Can these be touched up at all, can I call that old guy from Toy Story 2 or should I just be quiet and live with it? I appreciate any advice. Thanks

Hi, Sometimes people on here have extra parts they'll sell, trade, or even give away and you could always upgrade your head when you find one in better shape. I don't really like altering original mego parts, but if it's rubbed it's rubbed. You can't "restore" the paint, but you can repaint it with moderate success, especially if you are only going to display it. If it's rare, like any antique you don't want to do anything to it. I love some of my "beat up" megos because it is part of their history. Sure the minty ones are the best, but a nose rub here and there or some missing hair paint is pretty common with many loose figures.
There are probably many varying opinions on here. Some would consider it blasphemy to put paint anywhere near an original, others would happily paint it for fun. I seriously doubt paint would help the value any. It's basically up to you. There are numerous threads in the "tips and tricks" or "customs" section on paints and other cleaning tips as well. Good luck and welcome.
