Why not Caesar?

I'm watching Battle today on one of the Starz channels when it dawned on me. Why didn't Mego ever do Caesar? How hard would it have been to change a Cornelius or Galen card?

I keep hopin' doc mego will make one for the new repro ape line but changes are thats a no.

I would have loved a Caesar in jumpsuit. Conquest is my favorite Apes film next to the first.

Mego didn't make Caesar because they were focused on the TV show
which was made after the Battle POTA movie.

Battle was softer than the previous films, more kid friendly. The TV
show, of course, was even more family friendly so Mego saw that as
the way to more sales.

mamking a custom Caesar would be a simple task. Just use the new EMCE Cornelius and get him a green jumpsuit.

It's even easier to make Caesar from Battle. Just buy an extra of a loose Cornelius or Galen. In fact,I think I'll do that myself later on.

Theressas jumpsuits are top notch, I made a Ceasar with one of her suits and another member had enlarged Medicom heads. Yanoli? Sorry, I know I spelled your name wrong. But great combo of parts.

Releaseing three figures with the same head in the same line would have ticked off a lot of the buying public, I rember as a kid trying to get my mom to buy me a Galen figure and her reply was you already have him just call the one you got Galen as it's the same figure just a differnt name

I agree that three times would not have been the charm if MEGO had released the Cornelius head as Caesar (in addition to his being released as Galen).

There really was no reason (other than saving sculpting costs) for them to release Cornelius as Galen anyway, the two apes do look different despite what some people think... Anyone who knows their APES should be able to tell the difference... Anyway, MEGO should have at least dressed the "re-released" Cornelius as Galen figure in a tunic that did NOT have hieroglyphics on the bib... That would have made him closer to Galen's actual appearance.
