How to restore my Lizard Soldier Ape's left glove to match it's right glove color?

I bought a Lizard Soldier Ape and Galen from Critter2 (aka Jim) in the Mego Marketplace, he didn't let me know his figures have any flaws or stains, etc. I thought he meant his figures are in near mint or mint.... I removed a brown stain spot (oval) off on the left side of the Lizard Soldier Ape's glove with nail polish remover, it's worked but it ruined the dark blue vinyl durned light color that does not match it's original color on the right glove.... oh, my GOD!!!!

How to restore it's right hand glove to match it's original dark blue to left hand glove?

Uhmmm........ how about blue leather shoes color polish will works on the left hand glove? Or I have to buy acrylic dark blue brush paint (to mix it with little water) from Hobby Lobby store? Or I take the threads off the glove and dye it then resewing it?

There's pictures of Jim's ex Lizard Soldier Apes, I thought Jim shot the pic on the left side one that cause reflector brown flower from the bed sheet to the left hand glove that I marked red circle line down, I didn't know that's stains not the reflector from the camera flash (I bought one from Jim on the left side):

Here's my pictures, I took the gloves off and put them on the front of the tunic color to see what's the different color:

Something is wrong with that size here, it had regular size in the PhotoBucket.com..... Click that link then it'll showing up regular size. (I put the gloves back on)

I noticed the left hand glove (light one) with flesh brown thread sewed from the factory, that one is not match it's right hand glove. The left hand glove came from another Lizard Soldier Ape and on the right hand glove is original to it's tunic color and with faded brown thread sewed line on the right hand glove.

What can I do? Please help......

Whatever you did to the glove that had the tiny stain, do that to the other one too... Then you'll have matching gloves.

And about the thread not matching: Are you sure the thread didn't get discolored when you put that nail polish remover on the glove? If anything, the different colored thread may have come from assembling the figure. By that I mean let's say he bought the Soldier and it only had one glove with it and then he was trying to piece it together... When he found a glove to go with it, it may not have had the exact same colored thread... Different colored thread isn't that big of a deal if you're trying to piece together a figure... It's better to have the piece you need.

The Lizard Soldier Ape's right glove and the tunic are minty, both are match. I don't wanted to ruining discolored on the tunic and glove to match on the left side glove. When I'm almost done then the blue color came off slight and the vinyl skin has been rubbed off slight. So, I don't wanted that happen to my figure's tunic and right hand glove.

Yep, I know. Your'e right about that.

I think I should remove the thread and mitten then dye the glove to middnight Blue (I'll waiting till dry well for 2 days then wash it and to dry it) then put ArmorAll on the vinyl then it'll be shinny like glossy to match the right hand glove and then re-sewing dark brown thread with it's original mitten on will looks good but I'm not sure.

Maybe our member Theressa can do it for me, I'll sent PM her.

Pat, if you were unhappy with the figure, I wish you would have sent me a PM, I would have gladly refunded your money before you tried anything.

No problem, I understand. Thanks for LMK, next time I'll ask you questions about the condition before I buy Mego(s) from you in PM. I keep that Lizard Soldier Ape 'cuz it's very rare and hard to finding with mint tunic and matched the gloves color on ebay. I'm glad to have him in my POTA collection, I don't mind it has 1 original glove and with another original Lizard Soldier Ape's glove. I'll figuring it out how to restore the left hand glove to match it's original right hand glove color, thanks for sold him to me.
