My guess would be sun damage. Perhaps indirect sun that reflected on only his left leg for a while, like he was partially coverd up or blocked by something else. The sun can be cruel.

Same question with the Robin sleeves and shorts. Were they shipped yellow? Did they fade? Why so evenly and easily on some and not all. Was it a change? Did some fade as this AM's leg did. Would green ones fade the same if you did it now? Why just the RM Robin? Sun affects Mego's but not always the same for each piece. It's just one of those unexplained Mego Mysteries.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Green color is a blend of two colors.and what happens is either by sunlight or time a chemical reaction takes place, where the one of the colors fades or bleaches itself out.
Yellow being a primary color is usually left.
some colors can fade over time even thought its not in sunlight at all this is because the dyes were of poor Quality or not readily bond to each other , and become unstable & seperate over time.

It was probably a production issue in China. Maybe a dye combination that was used on the first run before it was discovered that it was bad, and then changed.

I mean, how many costume variations exist simply because THAT was the material they had on hand and were using on that day in the factory?
