    Lizard in original box

How much should I pay for a Boxed (original) Lizard in mint condition? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This kind of question usually goes in other forums. And this forum doesn't get as much traffic as others. Also - it is normal to get no replies on a topic in the first day or 2 unless it is a hot topic.
As far as value: The Lizard himself in mint condition (including mint coat) I typically see go for near $100. I don't deal much in boxed stuff so my guess would be off hte wall. the best thing to do is view completed auctions on ebay. Ther aren't many that come up that will be the same but you can look at other figures that have about the same scarcity+demand for an idea.

I'd say between $350-$500 for a boxed one

Wow, has he gone up recently? I haven't been following MIB Lizard prices that closely (I already have one ) but I would have guessed around $250-350 for a nice, but not high grade, box. Maybe I'm just out of touch on these.

One sold by a "Mego celebrity" doesn't count.

the last 3 MIB (box c9 or better) that I have seen on ebay, sold for north of $400 , and 2 of them went for $500+ (I bought one of them at 515, I think on ebay, so at least one other thought it was a $500 piece also)

A member here roughly 1 year ago or more sold one for over $700. I know of examples which were case fresh AFA graded which sold for $1,000. Again, the majority of people on these forums only relate to eBay. If you want the full picture effect you need to delve into the hobby more and learn the private dealings which will show a higher priced paid.

PS. The $200 examples that usually pop up on eBay are typically in very poor condition or as I like to say are garbage...just my two cents.

Well that's cool, it's nice to know that mine is worth more than I thought it was.

Coen brothers references aside, I'm not so sure about your assessment. I just saw a pretty decent example sell for just $260. It certainly wasn't "garbage." I'm just sayin': Prices can vary drastically, especially in a dubious economy.
