From reading Ben's book I know megos were made in China not just Hong Kong. I was wondering if any were sold there of in Russia?

Highly unlikely any were sold in the U.S.S.R. Well, officially anyway. Who knows what was sold on the black market. Remember, most of the characters that Megos were licensed from also never saw the light of day in the Soviet Union.
Disney actually encountered a similar problem went Disney Hong Kong first opened. Bootlegged Disney characters were being sold on the mainland, but in a limited amount and many times the characters weren't even named.WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better. -
I remember the days where you could get a months bed and board in Russia for a mego spidey, some levi's and juicy fruit....
