I have a carded one now, but didn't know about him as a kid. I think I want to get a loose and remove the beard or repaint him. I'm curious to see how scary he looks sans facial hair.

So which came first? The sketch or the sculpt?

Chopper's an ugly mug. The scar is a nice detail, but he's really a mutant. How'd that sweater come about I wonder? Did he just escape prison and grab the first thing he could find out of the back of someone's car?

        The classic laundry line purloin!

I forgot about that sketch on the back of the card. He looks even more thug-y!

And then he's wearing Ape General 3 toed boots...orange striped turtle-neck sweater, blue tights and leather 3 toed specialty boots. He's not a criminal, he's a fashion boutique owner in SOHO!

Not the most menacing outfit Mego could have given him.

I wonder what's the most a Chopper has ever sold for?

I own all four seasons of Starsky and Hutch on DVD and not one criminal I have seen on these shows even looks remotely like Chopper. They could have came up with someone more in the lines of what was playing on the show.
I had a chance to buy a Chopper and I turned it down. Maybe I will one day just because I am such a fan of the show and he would look cool with my new Starksy and Hutch reproduction megos I created courtesy of Dr. Mego and Classic TV Toys.

                          Hiya folks,

                          I love the Chopper.
Found his sweater and pants in a junk lot and searched for a loose one for ages. Just picked him up a couple of weeks ago nude with moses and nekkid Dr.Z from the Flash Gordon. Must have been a hella party.
I passed on the ape boots and tights. Gave him some jeans and PACK boots. Had to keep the sweater tho - That is what makes him the Chopper. You gotta be tough if you wear a sweater like that. I bet his old man named him Sue.
