I was a bit late to know of the Pirates at retail. And I think I first heard of them from the first printing of Bonavita's book, and then the museum in its early stages.
I don't have any Legends figures, but they are all well made and the Pirates have a unique charm and level of detail that really makes feel "premium" to most of Mego's 8" output. I may have to take the plunge someday!

, Didn't find out about them till i found my way here in DEC 06, If i find a good deal on some i'd gladly add them to my collection, The only pirates i ever saw as a kid were the fighting furies which i only had Capt Pegleg who is one my must buy list, If anyone has a nice loose one for sale let me know
). I picked Long John Silver, because of his cool peg leg and parrot. I had always planned on picking up a Blackbeard (the only other pirate in the group who's name I knew) but the next time I went back to that store they were all gone, and I never saw them again until I was an adult.
