    Some fine Mego Memories

Chris Flagg sent in this happy memory from Christmas 1974, he really hit the jack pot that year with the Mego Batcave playset, Batcycle, Batmobile and Batcopter. What more could a kid ask for?
Thanks Chris! Looks like the folks did a bit of catalog shopping as evidenced by this 1974 JC Penney spread:

Enjoy previous Mego Memories at the Megomuseum, Part 1 and Part 2 are full of vintage coolness. Got a pic to donate? Send it on down!

Wow! Talk about a Christmas jackpot! I wonder how quickly he tore through the packaging (ouch!).

Wish I had the pics to show, but getting both the RC Batman and Robin at Easter '72 was incredible, having just seen them at a local Kmart a month previous. Having my step-dad tease me for getting a Batgirl a few years later was irritating, but she's still a favorite.

~ 'Course my favorite memories of the mid-70s was my best friend getting nearly all the Trek Megos over a few years time, so his number was the first I'd call every Christmas morning.. (didn't have speed dial back then...).

I really wish my parents took pictures of me and my toys, but so far I can't find anything significant. My mother is going through all our old pictures now for a family project, but I'm not holding out much hope of finding anything good.

No idea whatever happened to my family's photos. Next time I visit my grandmother I'll have to see what she's got. My mother has had a habit of giving her doubles of photos of what we take.

My parents never took pics like this of me on Xmas, birthdays, etc. :(

I asked my mom recently why that was, and she said something like, "we just never thought about it really." Real nice, lol. But, I know my parents always were more of the "live in the moment" type of people and weren't the most sentimental folks, so I guess that shouldn't surprise me.

As a kid I'd have been dying to go to Chris' house and play with that Batcave if I'd known him!!

There was a kid on my block that I could not stand but he had the Joker and Penguin. It's amazing the hurdles you will go through when a kid has cool toys.

I never even knew the batcave existed as a kid.
