No, because I was a 9 year old boy. My friend was braver, though, and proudly brought his 8” Wonder Woman to school one day. My first reaction was “What?!?!” But as we played I quickly realized this was a great figure. I kept my eye out for one after that, but never bought her.

I had Wonder Woman. By that point I already had Batman, Robin, Aquaman, and Superman, and I wanted to round out the Superfriends. I remember getting her...pretty sure it was at Gimbels. They had Megos in a little office with a half door/counter at the back of the toy dept.

I didn't have any female superheroes... but I was more of a Star Trek fan and I *did* have an Uhura. I remember I occasionally got crap for other kids... but it never seemed weird to me. She was an important part of the crew.

I already had a Zira poa so I picked up Wonder woman to complete my Superfriends. I later picked up Catwoman, Isis , Batgirl, Supergirl and Invisible woman and kept these with my main collection. I use to pick up seconds of some megos to play with. The females were for looks, and to complete sets, not to play with back then (no doubles on the females)

Nope. But as an adult collector, I realize it isn't the JLA without Diana. Also, as a Batman '66 collector, I always buy both versions of Catwoman, plus Batgirl. The FTC version of Yvonne Craig Batgirl is a beautiful figure. In its window box it's such a great display piece. And, yep, the TOS crew needs Nyota Uhura, too!

From WGSH, I had Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Supergirl. I thought the Catwoman didn’t look right, so I skipped her. (Also, skipped Mxy because he was too tall. And I might have avoided Green Goblin because he was dead — not sure about that one.) Never saw Invisible Girl — at least when I had money. (The Torch was the only FF figure I had.) And I can’t remember ever seeing the Isis figure.

I also had the 12-inch Wonder Woman, the Bionic Woman action figure and her beauty salon / computer set up, and Uhura from the Star Trek line. Also had Leia from Star Wars, Scarlett from GI Joe: Real American Hero, and Wonder Woman from Super Powers.

Supergirl, Batgirl and Wonder Woman were all on my Christmas and birthday lists as soon as they came out, and Sue followed when the FF was released (ironically, she was easy to find; Reed was the hard one to locate). Uhura joined the Trek crew after she came out. I didn't get Catwoman as she wasn't the version I had seen in comics. I also got a Dinah Mite to fill in until my parents could find an actual Supergirl. I was raised by my mother and my grandmother, so I never really had any problem or discomfort with getting female action figures. I even asked for a Malibu Barbie to use as Calahan, Oscar Goldman's secretary and Jamie Sommer's best friend, to go with my bionic figures.

You mean that- at the time- you never saw an 8" Wonder Woman in the stores? As far as Catwoman's outfit goes, I had seen it in an old comic book (somewhere) and was aware of the fact that her costume changed on a semi-regular basis.

Only Sue Storm, although I really wanted both Batgirl and Catwoman because of the Batman connection. I've actually heard a lot of stories about not getting them due to peer-pressure over he course of time, but not once did I hear the same story about Princess Leia when the Kenner 3 3/4" line first came out. Weird.

I received Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Catwoman for Christmas the year they were released. I had never seen that Catwoman costume before until I saw the "The Costumes of the Catwoman!" feature in Limited Collectors' Edition #C-45 (More Secret Origins Super-Villains). At the time I was only familiar with her costume from the Batman television series and the Filmation cartoon series.

I always wanted Batgirl and Invisible Girl and would have gladly given up Supergirl for either of them. I wasn't even aware that Mego made an Isis until 1978 or '79, when I was out of the Mego 8" line.

I wanted 8" WW when the show aired, but (unknown to me at the time) by then she had been replaced by Isis and eclipsed by the 12" line.

I got Wonder Woman ( and Tarzan) for Christmas as a kid ( in boxes, I remember them so well), and at some point a Catwoman. Desperately wanted a Supergirl so badly I threw a fit in Gemco, and my folks were not having it...lol. I much later got a Thor and used to remove his helmet and turn his back to me so it looked like I had a SG...lol

Also got the 12" WW the year she came out. Picked her out personally from a huge shelf of them at Best Products. She had an amazing apartment in my bookcase...lol

If Dr. Zira from the "Planet of the Apes" line counts, (and there's really no reason she shouldn't; she was a major protagonist in three of the films) then I owned one...

I also owned Jane West, and the West's daughters as well as Princess Wildflower, but they weren't Megos, so they really don't count.
