Take care of your son, real world always comes first.
If you ever have time (and an intrest) again in Megos, you know where to find us, but for now I wish you good luck

My wife cares for an autistic child, so I know first hand what you're going through. Sorry to hear you have to part with your collection, but don't be a stranger. Just because the toys are gone doesn't mean the passion is. Hope to see you around and best of luck to you and your family.

hang in there. stop in here occasionally... just to give yourself a break. As the father of an autistic son, I know that sometimes a place like this is exactly what you need.

Thanks for all the nice things you all said and I have a bit of better news. We took our son to the Therapist's and they are blown away with how he is progressing and when we thought we were slacking they think we are do great work. Soooooo I talked it over with the wife and I am deciding to keep my collection. I took all the pics so I could post it and even priced it all and I was all most in tears thinking about selling it. Dont get me wrong I am not a little girly man just sad to see it all go away. I moved it all to the bedroom so it is not a distraction to my son and he wont break any more of them. Now I have a private display of Megos and I am keeping all of them. I still wont be around here as much due to work and working with the Boy but I am glad to say I am keeping it all. Thanks again to all that helped me build it and for the ones I promised stuff I am sending it out next week when I get back in town. I find myself having time to post when I go out of town. LOL But I miss the family when I do go. Thanks thanks thanks for all the kind things said and it looks like I am here to stay.

Glad to hear you'll find a way to balance family and collecting.
My brother-in-law is autistic, and both my wife and I have worked for the Flemish Autistic Society, so we know what you're talking about.

Good luck, and let us know how you're doing from time to time!
