Top 13 Mego WGSH Vehciles and Playsets Ranked

As Santa prepares his sleigh, another article for 13th Dimension, ranking all 13 of Mego's vehicles and playsets for the 8" WGSH line. Your mileage may vary, but here's how I ranked them! Thanks as always to Brian, Steve, Robyn and everyone else at the Mego Museum for the photos, the history, and keeping the Mego flame alive for all these years.

Great article! I was shocked to see the Great White Shark so low, but then I can't really argue with anything that is above it. Goes to show just how many great playsets and vehicles Mego produced.

That Hall of Justice scene looks like an arcade. Speedy's hogging the Green Arrow Car ride, Robin and Supes are playing air hockey, and Bats is stuck in the claw machine....again.

I love all the Mego Playsets and Vehicles but I never had a single one as a kid. Great list as always!

Great article. I have all of them except the Wayne Foundation--I love the graphics but not the format. I use the blue Batcycle (with perfect LaserMego custom stickers) for Batgirl, too. Oddly, I love the Batcopter: I have the first version, I like the extra cowling.

I'd rank the terrific Jokermobile 3rd and Arrowcar 4th. The Arrowcar is beautifully-designed, has a great play-feature, and is the perfect accompaniment to one of Mego's best figures. I think getting a nice one is right up there with collecting SI sets.

Edit: I should note that my GWS set and Batlab are reproductions.

Loved the article. Always love these type of things. I think I’d go with the Arrowcsr first. Just love the color and design of it.

Great article, I had the Batmobile, Jokermobile and Spidey-Car, I never remember seeing the Arrowcar or I would have had it. It would have been cool if they made the Batboat, some great adventures for play in the swimming pool.

I see articles like this and think of what could have been! I had (and still have) the Batmobile and blue Batcycle.

Honestly, I remember all of the vehicles from Heroes World magazines, except for the Batcopter, but I think I only really wanted the Batlab, Jokermobile and Wayne Foundation... all things Batman. I don't recall ever pining for the Batcave, which is probably why I never bought FTC's repro. I also had the Empire Toys Batcopter (which I still have somewhere, I think). And I never understood the Supervator. I still don't! LOL!

I don't remember if I knew about the Hall of Justice as a kid. But I'd buy a repro in a heartbeat.

Very cool article. I can’t remember exactly what I had. I know I had the Supervator, the Batcopter, the Batmobile, the Batcave, the Bat Mobile Lab, and the Captain Americar. I know I.DiDN’T have Wayne Manor, the Hall of Justice, the Joker van, or the Great White Shark. I think I had the Green Arrowcar and the Batcycle. I don’t think I had the blue Batcycle or the Spider-Mobile.
