Among these were an oddity known to some collectors, these strange bootleg stickers of Mego Figures from Star Trek and Planet of the Apes. These full-figure stickers are about six inches tall and, like…

Those toy/human hybrid stickers are trippy. Wonder what was going through the creators head when making them...or what they were on.

American Apemania in vending form, if only we'd had the gatcha/gashapon options of Japan too.

I love having a backer card of these in my collection! Of course they also come in two other versions as well… portraits on a necklace and mini-stickers too.

I've always wanted those backing cards, but they've popped up just as I've made irresponsible purchases (which happens A LOT). I do have some of the necklaces and the like. The Astronaut is my favourite.

My guess is, they had full body shots of the entire cast save for McCoy and Sulu, so they found a work-a-round.

Pretty interesting stickers, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sulu with that facial expression and he’s wearing a red shirt.

Agreed. The legs are more interesting to me. Since they do not have the Mego cuff leg... and the boots look like they were taken from a TV promo photo. Were these also stock Mego photos and they had to work around the feet being cut off in the shot?
