"Very exciting news! We are launching a new line of limited edition collectible figures for the U.S and Canadian markets, based on some of today’s hottest contemporary licenses! These ultra-cool, collectible vinyl figures stand approximately 4.75” tall and are packed with hyper stylized character specific detail and sculpting!
The first wave shipping now for this coming holiday season include characters from:
Stranger Things – Eleven, Hopper, Will, Mike, Dustin, Lucas
The Witcher – Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer
Squid Games – The Front man, Circle Mask
Money Heist – Tokio w/mask, Berlin w/mask, Helsinki w/mask."
I worry the vinyl market is kinda oversaturated and it's going to be challenging to compete with Funko. But I'm happy for people that like them.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
cute but I would have loved to add them to the Mego collection. Boyfriend would have gone crazy with the Squid Game figures. I have been wanting Stranger Things Megos for awhile.
I know back in the day Mego made a lot of other things besides the 8" super-heroes, and I get that a company has to branch out. If this helps the company profitable so more 8" figures can be made, that's good. I just hope the company isn't overextending itself right now, that's all. These do look good. Don't know if it can compete with Funko Pops but they look quality and they are getting the rights to popular franchises. It does seem like a miss that "Mego" isn't branded prominently on the boxes though.
Whoa ok. These figures aren't my bag and it seems like Funko does the same thing already.
But I will admit i don't know what's popular with pop culture merchandise these day. Back in the 70's you had 4 channels so superfriends, Six million dollar man , Scooby-Doo were what kids were into. Now there is 10 different streaming apps so not everyone is watching the same thing. I don't think mego should be withholden to the 8" mego style but I'd like them to focus on retro friendly properties.
Just my thoughts.

This is exactly my perspective on these. I'm not interested but if they help the company without putting financial outlays too far ahead of revenue, then great for Mego!
