I completed my set of Super Softies today!

BAM! Complete set of 1974 Mego Super Softies! All original hats, cowls, capes, gloves, boots, belts, and guns accounted for! I was SO excited to complete this set today!!! A very underrated line IMO! So tough to find!

    Congratulations, they are beautiful.

I think I like the smaller ones more, and Lone Ranger best of all. Is his hat vacuformed plastic?
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Thanks! Yes, Lone Ranger's hat is plastic. So are his guns. What's amazing to me is that all of the 19" accessories are identical but smaller than the 24" accessories. Mego easily could have used the exact same guns and hat for Long Ranger, but went the extra mile.

The accessories really make the toy, even Batman didn't get a detailed utility belt.

IIRC, wasn't a softie Tarzan proposed? Do you know if it was designed?

That's a great looking set! Congrats on completing it. I would love to see Mego one day move into other products like they had in the 70s.

Congratulations on a beautiful set of softies, they look terrific.

Maybe I’m just thinking out loud but, if you can somehow manage to pick up another Lone Ranger would it be possible to convert him into Robin? kind of like having a custom Super Softies.

That makes for a great display! I've seen pictures of these over the years but I don't remember them from back in the day.

I had the Hamburglar & Ronald softies from around the same (maybe a bit earlier).

Congratulations and WOW! As others have noted, the look so great together. They look like they're in great shape. They are definitely one of the harder lines to complete in good shape. Did you have to clean them up at all?

Wow, those look fantastic together. Congrats!!! That Lone Ranger teases us with what Mego would have done with the chracter, but I wouldn't trade the Gabriel line!

Thanks! I was lucky enough to find them all in great condition. I didn't have to clean any of them. The only repair I had to do was replace the 24" Superman's metal belt buckle with an original from a donor doll.

Nice! I'm curious if they still talk after all these years?
