great line up. but out of curiosity, if the apes deal was just signed a few days ago, how is it that we already have Zaius coming in March? I'm not complaining, i am just curious. i can't wait to add more apes to the line up

Doc Mego mentioned that Apes were supposed to be part of the initial Target line up, but then the rights got sold to Disney and that reset all the licensing agreements. So they might have already had the production ready but weren't able to produce them.

Rocketeer! Man so excited to hear that one funny last year some people or someone here made a custom from the headless horseman coat. If more Disney is more possible I'd like to see TRON megos or Black Hole(the DST VINCENT should be to scale) or Dragonslayer.. and not Disney but Krull, Blade Runner, Clash of the Titans

Wouldn't it be cool if Mego made a Stan Lee variant where he is the younger, 1970s Stan with the big moustache and the longer hair? That would rock!

On facebook, Doc Mego clarified a few things:

New sculpts on McCoy and Scotty. McCoy is in the short sleeve medical shirt.

I think the classic McCoy sculpt is great, but Scotty's sculpt never quite looked right. And I really want the short-sleeved medical tunic for McCoy. Add in the salt vampire and it makes for a really exciting wave for Trek fans.

As somebody who has been collecting the monsters for my Svengoolie sets I cannot wait to add in the Universal Monster version of Wolfman & Son of Frankenstein.

There were some differences between the EMCE Wolfman vs Mego Werewolf: Those hands, feet and even head were different, Now Mego "skated" around the fact that there Werewolf as more molded on the UM than the Screaming Werewolf...Also I want the proper clothes.

The first offering of the POTA is easier since Zaius is going to be either a repro of Vintage Mego or EMCE.

One of the only problems I would like fixed (and its easy) are some Chimpanzee who tend to walk around barefoot showing the difference from human feet. The feet from the the Screaming Werewolf would work out great.

Some definite and pleasant surprises. Shouldn't be surprised at the apes, as we knew Mego was pursuing it, but I wasn't expecting anything this fast. I'm curious to see what approach they take, classic Mego or more accurate to the big and small screen. Rocketeer is another I wasn't expecting, and both he and Zaius seem to indicate that Mego can make deals with the Mouse. Young Frankenstein Igor likely means at least 2 other figures in that set (sales permitting). The three classic Trek figures are most welcome; I didn't think they could hold off on completing the main crew in new Mego form for too long. Now. last we knew, the GL in question was John Stewart (shown in protoform at Mego Meet), not Hal Jordan (though we HAVE to get Hal; we can't leave a hole like that from the original line gaping for even more decades). I'm assuming the Stan figure description means he'll be doing the spider-thwipp with his hands (like the ones that came in the Diamond Spidey set). I'm not an Avatar fan, but I know the Last Airbender has a solid following (though I hope the timing isn't bad with Diamond releasing 7" scale Avatar figures in the near future). REally, there's nothing here that isn't a draw in some way. Even though the monsters may seem a little repetitive, there may be a different head for Mr. Talbot, and a hopefully accurate and distinct look for Franky from the film in question. Even a flocked Fly seems a workable variant. This is a really strong wave with some properties starting that should, hopefully, grow in subsequent waves.
