    Unfortunate Voting Conspiracy

    Hey Everyone,

From what I understand, this voting turnaround is an organized conspiracy by the folks at the "Prop Zone".

They have devised an automatic-voting-system and are voting for both phasers, to make sure that their two props are the two finalists. They have their computer automatically delete it's cookies and then vote automatically...it seems up to 100 votes per minute.

I have some friends who are computer experts who are seeing if they can come-up with something to help me beat one of those two so I can battle it out in the finals.

Their phaser props are pretty boring, so they couldn't win legitimately!

What a shame the contest degraded into this...it was supposed to be about the models, not who has the most high tech computer!!!!!!!!!

    Sincerely,

    John

For how good you are at making Classic Trek customs, you could make your own full size Kirk chair --- and it would be 100% nicer then theirs anyway .....

I think we just discovered your next project

That's a great shame, your bridge was superb and got my vote. It was easily the best thing on the site! I hate all this "throw your toys out of the pram" behaviour!!

Your Trek Bridge still rocks. It is clearly the winner in my book.

I'd encourage us to continue voting. It will likely become clear that their is vote manipulation going on. They might be able to clear their cookies, but the votes still likely have the IP addresses recorded, and could possibly still be filtered to ensure integrity. It is one thing to solicit friends to vote early and often within the context of the rules, but this kind of manipulation becomes fairly obvious when it is so blatant.

                      Man, this is SO typical!

These contests are NEVER about who is truly the most talented, or who is the better craftsman / artist.

                      It's cronyism at its worst!

Hands down, the finest piece of work entered into that contest is the custom MEGO Enterprise Bridge.

Anyone with half a brain can see that.

The custom bridge playset (and the shuttle craft) are the only two entires that really require talent and artistic ability, AND technical skill in multiple areas.

Screw that silly FIXED contest! Around here, you and your work are the real winners!!

It's a shame that this is what happens in online comps....yes I admit I voted about 50-60 times for John but it was apparent that the crappy phaser peeps were doing something screwy...lets hope that the organisers find out and rebalance the votes.
