Least favorite figure, in your favorite line.

Line: POTA, Figure: Soldier Ape.

I know, it should be the astronaut. But I have never been able to warm up to the soldier ape, especially on a T1 body. He just looks silly and kinda weak. The gorillas scared me as a kid, but there is nothing scary about that head sculpt. Ursus and Urko were big improvements, when the line expanded.

My 2 fave lines and Trek and POTA:

First the Soldier Ape. I dunno...he's not really based on a specific character, he's just kinda plain and ordinary. Kinda like the security red shirts on Star Trek. And while we on the subject of Trek...

I don't care too much for the aliens that don't look like humanoids: Neptunian, The Keeper, Gorn, Mugato.

WGSH -- Mr. Mxy -- bad choice of villain

POTA: Astronaut -- to generic and the suit should have been white. Just doesn't look like and atronaut to me

I like the soldier ape -- I still have my original!!! Looks cool when you have a bunch of them together.

my favorite line is Kiss and I like em' all,but I guess Paul would be the least since he was the only one who didn't have a head made specifically for him

I have an obvious response and one not so much.

Mr. Mxy is the worst figure ever produced by Mego, period. Terrible character, awful likeness and grotesque colors. He's an 8 inch, poseable orange and purple turd.

I like the Starsky and Hutch line, but Huggy Bear is so weak. He's a pimp with down syndrome. They tried to capture the actor's likeness and failed miserably.

Definitely Mr. Mxy - Thought I didn't like him because I'm not a big Supes fan, but I guess others didn't as well..

Also, Tarzan and Conan -- I understand the back story on Tarzan, but still poor choices. I remember getting Tarzan MIB as a birthday present from my friend back in '75, and with all the other great heroes, I thought 'What am I supposed to do with him..??' He probably thought the same, hence it was 're-gifted' to me.. Even including Zorro or Green Hornet in that line would have been a better idea..

Instead of the $$ invested there, we could have EASILY had a Daredevil, Doctor Doom, Green Lantern or Flash.. Luckily Mego had enough huge, mainstay characters at that time to soak up some of the misfires.

I think it must be the dazed and confused look they painted on the faces and the hair that's too small for the size of the head. I don't think the blackface gorilla (Urko? Ursus?) was any improvement, though. Hot pink lips? I don't know what Mego was thinking, but those are hideous creatures. Definitely got some woof factor going on.

Although, thee worst fig is still the original Gorn.

And yeah I wish the Astronaut had a better space suit.

I know most won't agree, but I think the Batman was a pretty bad design. The removable cowl was great, but once they gave him the molded head, it pretty much stunk. Painted eyes,oven mitt gloves, the emblem was way too big, and the cape was way too short.
How do you screw up Batman?

Least Favorite WGSH

Well, it is a tough question as I like most of the WGSH, but my least favorite of the bunch is Tarzan, but a close second would be the Penguin. And, I like Mr. Mxy. At least he is unusual, and a character that is so offbeat that you just got to like him.
