Founded in 1944 by Toronto resident…

What an incredible peek inside a pretty big part of Mego's international reach. Thanks for sharing this a little more info on the famous warehouse find I've always heard referenced.

Thanks for reading Bill. This one is a little personal and it took me a while to get it done.

Wow neat! You get to do the coolest stuff.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

AMAZING POST! Any info on the "Strange Explorer" toy which featured Toho Kong on the front? I'm sure it wasn't licensed or anything, but I just love the box art.

The Strange Explorer is a pretty well known Japanese Tin Toy by a company called DSK, I can't explain the Toho Kong on the box but it's the reason it's well known

I forgot to snap a photo of it but in their lobby there is a wonderful trophy counter style case of the various tin space toys they carried in the 50/60s.

Love the displays and the history you have shared Brian. My favorite Mego packaging is the 12" Hulk box that is in that display. Underneath that Hulk 12" are Superman and Wonder Woman items. Are those Mego produced book bags with silver buttons to hold in books?
I post in thy general direction!

They're book bags that Parkdale carried but were not produced by Mego.

A great article, I appreciate your personal perspective.

I'm just getting into 12" Mego, so thank you, Parkdale.

And yes please, I'd like a Trek set for $120.00.
