the last I remember seeing mego at a store is at childworld in around 83 or it could have been 84 or even 85 I'm not positive on the exact year. It was Catwoman and Mr. Mxy and they were boxed and 1.50 each. I bought catwoman as I couldn't pass her by but when I went to CA. for about a year in 87 I lost her along the way. I still think about that catwoman and wonder whatever happened to her.

To think my mom shopped at K mart and all most all my Megos came on the nice Kresge cards and I just tore them all up getting at my toy.

For WGSH stuff,it was Superman,Batman and Spiderman at Barker's in Oneonta NY in '81 or '82. Non WGSH it was Eagle Force. Saw those up until the mid 90s.

If I remember right is was probably the 12" magnetic Batman and Robin at Circus World in the mall. But by then I was "too old". There were probably a few carded Hulks at TRU in '84 when I was out looking for the new Super Powers line.

Toys R Us for me too. I distinctly remember that organge sticker on the spiderman carded figures. They were on clearance...I had one in my hands as I was shopping with my girlfriend (who became my wife) in 1987....I put it back in favor of something that is now long gone (can't even remember what it was. probably baseball or basektball cards).

I remember telling her, "I had this when I was a kid....I had this when I was a kid..."

She said, "well, you're not a kid anymore. put it back"

Funny thing, she has always gone with me on my toy hunting expeditions, finding things that I missed. I think, in a strange way, she gets to re-live her childhood through my attempt to live out my childhood in toy collecting.

Teen Titans on the clearance rack at Child World. They were there from 1981 to 1983-84 when the store closed down.

                              toys R us

I last megos, in stores I saw, was at the Toys r Us in Eugene, OR back in the summer 1993. It was the Eagle Force Figures for Clearance under a $1.00. I got two that I didn't have, to go with the two, I bought at the same Toys r Us in the summer of 1990. I still have the card back packed away in storage. Same visit in 1993, I saw on the top shelf out of reach, what I believe was a Buck Rogers Command Center. All I could see was the faded/worn, cut out landing/run way pad. I wish I had bought that also.

In my head whenever someone says "Megos" I always think of the 8" action figures not the actual company itself. So to add to my original answer, my Toys R Us still had the Buck Rogers playset (Command Center) in 1986. They also had the Pocket Action Heroes of Superman and Batman.
