Mego Collecting addiction

About a month or so ago I sold all of the spare 8" Mego stuff that I had that wasn't Superman because I thought that I had most of the Superman Megos that I could afford so why should I start collecting the rest.

Well that lasted a week next thing I know I am buying some great no wait Outstandingly priced Megos from a member here on the board and well next thing I know I am buying more and more. Every time that I get one in the mail I feel like I did Christmas day when I was 6 getting all but a couple of the WGSH figures from good ole Saint Nick.
I don't think it is the collecting that is the addiction but more the feeling of being that 6 year old kid again on Christmas day.
However right now I am just holding myself to the DC WGSH and the EMCE Trek figures. But who knows the addiction may spread to Marvel.

What is it that keeps you guys buying them is it just so you can say you have them or is there more to it?

I only collect the WGSH line, is like they say...Collect them all!!!

I probably have spent about a grand on mego supplies and custom parts between now and the beginning of last year. Don't tell my woman because she would probably go through the roof if she knew how much I have really spent.

ya if my wife knew what I spent she would have a cow. What I do is sale something on Ebay and then I start buying stuff again even if I only got 5 bucks for the item. I just don't tell my wife how much I got and how much I have spent.

What keeps me going? ANSWER I smean to find another cool line of MEGOs to add to my collection. I started out only wanting to finish the STAR TREK line, Then i decided to get only a few of my fav WGSH like SUPERMAN/BATMAN, I now have the whole line. Then i added POTA then MAD MONSTERS then i got an original ROBIN HOOD and an original Lancelot then i got a DENNY FISHER DR WHO and now its fist fighters
