This is my guess.
The Target exclusives were fun to hunt, and very exciting to find.
This was the FIRST EFFORT as a return for MEGO. And it was an obvious HIT!!
And WOW the prices. You can't even buy a Marvel Legends for $20.
But you can get a 14" MEGO, even cheaper if it's on sale.
I'm shocked at what Doc & Marty (LOL) has accomplished.
I think looking ahead. We'll see a re-release of wave 1-3 not limited to 10,000 in multiple stores nation wide.
With TRU gone, it's really wide open. Wal-Mart recently said they wanted to get into the retro stuff.
Walgreens loves exclusives. I'm sure by summer, we'll all be drowning in MEGO's.
I'm very grateful for Doc (Paul) Mego. If not for him, we would still be looking at a bunch of dirty, broken, incomplete figures.
