My Aquaman had a lot of bathtub time, but none of my other figures ever hit the water.

The pocket hero looks more like a natural swimmer than the CAH. It's a shame we never got a windup swimmer of Aquaman like Durham did in the 1970's.

That swimmer is utterly ridiculous for Spidey but would have been perfect for Aquaman.

I never immersed any of my GI Joes or Megos--wouldn't it ruin them?

It didn't ruin Aquaman. It made him better!

I think I immersed all my Megos at one point or another when I was little. They turned out ok, but I'd imagine prolonged exposure, especially in a swimming pool with chlorine and other chemicals, might start to deteriorate the elastic inside.

I loved Aquaman as a kid. I was blond and on the swim team, so I wanted to be like him.

I really want the shark when I saw it in the mall. my mom said to put it on my christmas list. that was the last time EVER seeing it. (I din't even get an Aquaman Mego as kid -but he was the first Meg I bought as an adult)

Thankfully Chad made me a replica!!!!!

*Though I think Mego was looking to cash in on Jaws more than loving Aquaman at teh time of it's release.

Oh yeah, Jaws totally had to have been the reason for this. I never saw this set as a kid, I don't think I knew this even existed until I was in my 20's.

most of my earlier megos were aquamans gueat in the swimming pool in the back yard ,not a big pool but was good .the mego chicks are the ones that got loosened up a great deal with
loose knees and legs waist etc.the mego men did all right .for them they already had blue trunks on .never saw the aquaman vs the great white shark as a kid .but did see all the aquaman figures
at the time .my megos also were in mud ,dirt, fireplace (they only got singed ) but they did get into just about everything else ,including the washing machine .

I just want to jump into that picture and hug those toys. It's like a piece of my heart sitting there. Just love it. Thanks for sharing that Brian. That right there is what it's all about.

I'll defend Aquaman until the end. Yes, the color scheme is pure eye candy. I'm with Tom one post above. That photo was a right-click save for me. Thank you for reminding us all how truly great the character has always been.

I never, ever thought his "talking to fish" was lame.

I love his powers. To me, his comics could embrace everything: science/ecology, a social conscience, sci-fi, sword and sorcery. I t's been a challenge to be a fan, particularly when DC mucked with him as well as the late-night/stand-up crowd. Even SuperFriends fans dogged him. But I always thought he and Capt. Marvel were special, and now I hope the general public will come to enjoy and appreciate these characters, too.

I just remembered, I even had Aquaman Underoos when I was in 5th grade.

Anyone else love Aquaman on Bat man Brave and the bold? He was such a fun loving bad ***
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

^ I didn't like him at first because he seemed buffoonish, but he grew on me and had some of the best bits in the series. He could back up his braggadocio and that made him more likable and heroic. Outrageous!

It was certainly one of the "get" first figures, collecting Mego
