We're off to see the Wizard, another wave 2 reveal

I am a member, but I really haven't checked out the Mego Ambassadors FB group. If I ever get time, I may have to do so just to see how bad it really is.

As for this set... I have a co-worker excited about the idea of it. Oz is one of many doll properties she collects (she is working on the Pullip set). She might be interested in the Mego WOZ figures -- they are affordable! -- but the first question she asked was, "Are they making all of them?", to which I could only sadly respond, "I don't know... I hope so."

I am really looking forward to seeing what Wave 2 consists of. While there is a general thought that some of Wave 1's properties will be continued, all the Wave 2 sneak peeks and legitimate leaks are of new properties, which is kind of cool for those that did not find a property that interested them in Wave 1.

Madame Alexander Winged Monkey

A friend who has the original Mego Oz told me that he used the McDonalds Madame Alexander Winged Monkeys in his collection.

Back when I was toy shopping, I would pick these up for him to add to his collection.

While there is a general thought that some of Wave 1's properties will be continued, all the Wave 2 sneak peeks and legitimate leaks are of new properties, which is kind of cool for those that did not find a property that interested them in Wave 1.

I had thought of Frankenstein as a continuation of the Universal Monsters that started with Dracula and Paul Stanley / Starchild as a continuation of the Rockers that started with Hendrix. I definitely see Wizard of Oz as a new property though.

Have any other characters besides those three been announced that I've missed?

Is there any word on continuations from the other lines from Wave 1? I would assume Star Trek will continue, but several of the characters don't seem to be selling in my area (Charmed, Facts of Life, and Charlie's Angels specifically). I had wondered if the photos of other characters from the lines were an clue about continuation of some of the properties. For example, Greg and Marsha are pictured on the package with Alice from The Brady Bunch, but Tootie's card doesn't picture other Facts of Life characters.

That's true with Frankenstein. But I consider KISS to be in a category of its' own, LOL!

This is great, I have known several folks who've been interested in having the Wizard Of Oz Megos but aren't serious collectors and wouldn't bother seeking out the originals or paying the $$, so being able to get them in the store at a lower price will probably be a hit with them.

BTW, will she have actual panties, or just a white hip socket?
