Mego Burt gets a Trans Am

As some of you may know Ive recently completed my custom Smokey and the Bandit Mego Burt...

Once that was done the search continued to find a Trans Am that would fit our hero

    That car has been found...

The seller wouldn't ship to the UK so I had a friend in NY to bid and won for me last night.

Its 14" long... so it should be the right size, Its about the same length as my mego Starsky & Hutch palitoy Gran Torino.

Once it gets here its going to need some work to get it looking something like this....

Ill be cutting out the T Bar and spraying it the right colour and a few other bits and pieces.

If anyone's interested Ill document the restoration and keep you posted

Congrats on finding something that will work. Should come out looking really cool. Now, what are you going to do for Sally Fields?

Keep us updated, I can't wait to see the finished product with Burt inside.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

          Nice !!!

I wonder if a resculpted front would work (giving it the '77 feel of the original movie)

This car looks like the one from part-2

Cool! I think I mentioned before I had a black Trans-Am like this as a kid. It even had a tinted plastic windshield.

This one will work great once you paint it black. Congrats!

Not sure who made them but K-MART use to sell large plastic 18 wheelers i think the same company that made the plastic TRANS-AM and CORVETTES made them
