Mego 12" wonder woman restoration

Well guys, its only taken me a year to figure out how to post a photo, so hopefully this time it works....
I dont think anyone else is into these, but i like em.
When i got her the legs had fallen off because of the good ole mego melts. Her hair had been cut off and her eyelashes were missing. So here she is , let me know what you think? (BE nice)

Cher as Wonder Woman? Nice fit. I've always had a thang for Cher. I have a basket case WW sitting in my spares box.

Ok, which part did you want me to divulge my trade secrets ? LOL

She actually isnt a cher doll, but later on Mego did use the tanned cher body for the wonder woman dolls. She might look like she is as i didnt trim her hair after i did it. I prefer the look of it long.(and more fun to play with)

Im actually doing the tanned version's hair at the moment, and instead of leaving it long, im gonna try and do the flip. I hope i dont stuff it..

I LOVE these dolls. When i was 6 or7 my mum was gonna get me one for my birthday and i was so excited. But by the time my birthday came around Mego had stopped making them.
I was heartbroken, and cried and cried. I used to watch the show religiously and had the super friends comics.
Mum seached everywhere, and i never got over it. But then, last year i saw this girl on ebay, and she was all bashed up, and i just had to have her.
I had to save her. I was sooo happy to finally have my wonder woman doll.
And now she is all beautiful again.

Where the legs meet the body the yellow plastic had melted, so i razored off the excess, and cleaned it up with 911, it actually dissloves melts.
Then i used 2 part epoxy resin on the two halves of the pelvis area to fortify it, and cut a piece of plastic from an ice cream container in the same shape on top of the epoxy resin. So then when i put the legs back in they fit quite nicely back in the housing.
Although she can stand and sit, i wouldnt be too liberal in the movements, as i wouldnt want to weaken it again.
They i got some false eyelashes , cut them to size, and inserted them into the slots left by the original ones.
Then i rerooted the hair, which involved reinserting the hair, plug by plug, with a glorified crochet hook.The hairs part was a real pain.But it looks good.

Looks great! Rerooting hair is a huge pain in the butt. I can only imagine what redoing eyelashes would be like.

The eyelashes werent too bad, cause they were joined. I had to use tweezers to get them in the right position.
I actually touched up the red and yellow on her suit as well, cause it was rubbed. Im not quite finished there, because i have to go over the black lines, and my hand is not very steady. Any suggestions on how to make sure i get them straight?

here is a pic of one of my mego wonder woman's. I know what you mean about getting the picture just right. I took a bunch of pics for my website that i'm working on. Most of the pics I wasn't happy with but this one I really like alot. I'm gonna redo most of the rest.

She looks great Ric! Her eyes look a bit different to mine, as mine have a white stripe in the blue?
What version is she, the first one, or the second?
Nice outfit too, they are just about impossible to find.
