Nice list, I'd like to add M*A*S*H* 8" figures to that list and a jeep vehicle that fits 3 or 4.

I didn't know I wanted these until just now! Add Big Shirley and it's an even set.

It's not like Target demanded figures from "A Man Called Sloan" or "When Things Were Rotten." Some of the licenses may seem odd for an action figure line, but Cheers is one of the most successful and well known TV shows of all time. As I've pointed out, every single license that's been confirmed has a strong fanbase, longevity or both. If the blurry pic promoting what's to be revealed at SDCC shows what I think it shows, Fonzie is one of the best known fictional characters on the planet. Classic monsters (if that's Drac) are something everyone knows, and Universal is still trying to revive the franchise. Not sure who else is there. but the point is, while some of these might not be the top tier properties of today, they are all recognizable to just about anyone, even if you weren't a fan (never saw an episode of Cheers, but I'd still recognize the characters easily). Yes, I do hope things like the DC and Marvel licenses do wind up back with them eventually (no wish for bad things upon FTC, but they are not doing a great job with the DC license right now), but this is a start with pop culture properties Joe Average is going to know off the top of his head.

Some of these licenses are head-scratchers, that's for sure. But if that's what Target wants, it seems like a small price to pay to have Mego back in business and available for sale at retail. And to be fair, Mego is the same company that gave us action figures of TV shows like The Waltons and Love Boat back in the day, so it's not really out of character for them.

That said, I don't think either of those licenses are particularly good for Mego or anything in the current market. So it's like, the more successful failure.

I really do wish the new Mego well... But I am seriously starting to question the direction and wondering if this will have any legs at retail. As I feared when the early rumors started, what good licenses could they get or would they be stuck getting a bunch of oddball things... And it certainly seems like more and more oddball things are popping up. Will it work? I guess we'll see.
But it has been said before Target chose those licences and Paid in advance there for they were a complete sell out. Now if they dont sell its on Target not MEGO.
