    Mego Memories: Mego Apes

Betsy opens a Mego General Urko in this great bit of vintage toylove. Betsy also got a Mego batman and Robin this year and a long friendship with Evel Knievel ensued..

Enjoy previous Mego Memories at the Megomuseum, Part 1 and Part 2 are full of vintage coolness. Got a pic to donate? Send it on down!

I used to have tons of pics of my Megos from back in the day. The only one left that I could find was this one of my brother stealing my Megos from my room.

I'm sure quite a few of us here would have been friends with Betsy.

And it was also 3-D. The designs were a velour material that stuck out from the white wallpaper. Those crazy 70s!

I stared at that fuzzy stuff for 12 years of my life, I couldn't believe it when I saw it again in this photo....

My father put that wallpaper up in our new house in 1973. It was in that hallway and in my parents' bedroom. The rest of the house was done in "stucco", except for the kitchen which had a light gold wallpaper and the basement which had wood paneling. I think my father got rid of the wallpaper in that hallway sometime in the mid to late-80s but it was still up in their bedroom until they moved out in 1997.
