Replica VS Original Star Trek Mego Figures

    Hello all

I would like to know answers how can I tell the difference between Replicas and the Original Star Trek figures

I cam across to many several new fresh Star Trek figures cards at my comic shop and I am wondering how can I tell the difference between the old version and the replica 2007-2008 figures. I believe the ones I saw are replicas.

Does it have something to do with the dating difference on the back side of the figures.

Please help me out with this one. I have also noticed that there were plenty of awesome Star Trek Aliens figures that I am planning to get the whole set.

Will there be more replicas on super heroes and POTA later on?

Let me know and any mego cards to give away to me so I can start collecting them

Much appreciated if you can help me out with this puzzling question of mine.

If they are loose figure and you need a careful eye. The easiest tell is if they have silver rank on their sleeves they are replica.

But you are asking about carded. The cards are drastically different and the repicas com im a cla shell case rather than in a glued on bubble.

    Look at original stuff here:

If the logo on the card doesn't say "Mego" it ain't. EMCE Star Trek are clearly marked.

Also the EMCE card backs are 100% different then Mego card backs.

Mego never put a picture of Marty on their cards

If you are talking about loose figures, you can find a detailed listing of how to ID each part by character right here...

An easy way to spot a loose EMCE is by feel, DOC'S bodies are heavier the a MEGO, Unless some one took the head and cloths and put them on a MEGO body then it gets harder to tell, check the head Docs are stiffer vinyl
