I bought the Supes off of Mr. Fish. Then I found out they were bootlegs. You live you learn.

A bootleg is a copy of an original, thus they weren't bootlegs; just something new being passed off as vintage.

Thanks for the clarification....Bootleg...Bogus...whatever you want to call it, it's not original.

Now that was a good old fashioned tar and feathering. Another example of something that would have sold very well as a custom and didn't need to be passed off as original.

The only time i've ever heard of these was back when the Museum first opened it's doors, there was a thread about them.
At the time, they were well known as being NOT REAL.

                          Great thread .....
The subject itself if now nostalgic and a good read

Well I will look into what they would cost to make and Ill just pass the cost on I have no need to make a thing from them. As soon as I get a price ill let you all know. It would help to get pics of them all so I have something to go on, or I can just make up my own design.

Oh how I remember this one...Jonathan Moore's scam got a couple of members on the old Yahoo list. Shame of it all, besides getting a couple of members with fake outfits, was the fact that he was a talented customiser. I still have his skinny mego cards that he made for the slim bubble packaging. If I remember correctly the SS above were found in a Patent Lawyers office...or so he tried to scam us with.
