Feeling nostalgic this past December I purchased a lot of POTA figures on eBay. That brought me to the Museum, the cards, then Captain Marvel, Superman, Tarzan, a couple of AJs, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, a kitbashed Jet Jungle, and it goes on.

I had always hung on to some of my childhood Megos, and when I got older, I always wished I could find some more. Finally around 1987 (I was about 20 years old then), I found a vintage toy shop in Buffalo, NY and the old guy who owned the place had a bunch of boxed Megos (along with a bunch of other wonderful stuff). I bought a boxed Robin that day for $20 (the condition of the boxed figures varied, but that Robin box was near mint, almost perfect. I still have him). I was just a poor university student, but over the next year, I revisited the store now and then, and I bought several more. The most expensive one I bought was a boxed Lizard for $40, and I felt guilty paying that much for him, because I didn't exactly have much extra money to spend.

About a year after that, I found my first issue of Toy Shop, found out how much Megos were selling for at that point, and the first chance I got, I went back to that store to buy everything he had left (I hadn't visited in over a year by that point). All he had left by then was a crappy boxed Thing that he was selling for $150. He must have found out about Toy Shop prices too. :(

When I was married and living in WI, I went to a toy show. I found a naked Superman and a Tarzan w/ an AJ suit on , and an LJN 2 piece SWAT suit in a baggie. At the time, I didn't know these were Supes and Tarzan, I just had faded memories of my old AJ figures, and thought these might be them. It was only about 5 or 6 years ago, that I found out which guys these were. Supes is dressed in AJ's safari outfit, while Tarzan happily wears his loin cloth (minus the pajamas). The rest is history.

Cornelius. He was my fav as a kid, the one I begged for when they first came out, and my first as an adult collector. To this day I have to make myself not buy him whenever I see one for sale. I have 6 of them, but I keep having to stop myself from buying more.

Gosh, it was just earlier this month that I got my first Mego figures (Kirk, Bones and Spock (2))! On the same day they arrived, I won a MOC Kirk and Spock at auction. Kirk later arrived with a knee pin off but I achieved my initial goal of owning one MOC Mego figure. I didn't think it would happen so soon.

I bought a couple of MOC Treks in the 80's (the Canadian finds) ... but they really didn't get my adult Mego collecting started.....

I think the Mego that really started my bug was Ironman.....
I never had him as a kid so I was out to get one ..... Outer Limits in NJ sold me one at a very affordable price (at the time).

I was really impressed (this was in the late 80's-early 90's)

After Ironman, I just went nuts

Not an exciting story. My brother told me about this site when I got my computer and I was hooked. I started searching ebay trying to get a Green Goblin, with the intention of getting more. I couldn't win one, but did get a Joker about a month later. The rest is history.

A perfect condition Dark Green Vest Green Arrow with all unbroken and original accessories from Roy's Toys in Jacksonville, FL circa 1995. I can remember exactly what I paid for him too....$140.

From 1991-1995, I was a pretty hardcore Star Wars Collector. I eventually sold that entire collection to Roy's Toys for many more Megos.

Green Arrow did it for me though. He got the whole ball rolling.

The only Megos I ever had as a kid where Spiderman, Hulk and Superman. I never even knew Green Arrow existed until that day.

                          Been hooked ever since.

I always thought that Green Arrow was the perfect Mego. The look, the accessories, the costume, just perfect.

I got back into collecting back in 1990 when I discoverd issue # 2 of Tomarts Digest in a comic store, I was hooked.

I bought my first loose a minty Batman Mego from Mark Huckabone from an ad in Tomarts digest.

I then traded a loose incomplete Kenner '79 Alien for a Minty in the box Mego Robin valued at $60 from The Toy Shop magazine.
