which figures are the Rodney D of MEGO?

Let me tell you i get no respect, no respect at all. So let me ask which figure or figures are the Rodney Dangerfields of MEGO? I have to say from the WGSH line it has to be TARZAN like come on does anybody like this figure?Ok his outfit is a bad job but come on he's still TARZAN, And second has to be from the STAR TREK line the GORN everybody smeans to pick on him ever EMCE is making there's differnt from MEGOs, The poor GORN gets no respect, Who on your list?

    Ponch.
He's a great looking figure with a cool uniform and nice accurate sculpt...
But, he's always the butt of everyones jokes.

Jon, on the other hand looks like crap, but nobody ever picks on him.

Tarzan from WGSH seems to get dismissed alot, and I always really liked that figure.

Tarzan was and is one of my favorite Megos, even with the skin bodysuit.

Eagle Force, die-cast in the days of cheap plastic. Great sculpts for little figures.
Also the Star Trek 3 3/4 line, carded figures can be had for $10. It costs me $20 in gas just to go to the flea markets and find nothing. And although I see him selling for good money, Dr. Kromedome doesn't seem to get much love on the forums, personally I dig him, reminds me of a "Hugo man of a thousand faces" 12"

THE NEPTUNIAN. I mean come on he's cool looking. Totally original. And Nobody likes him. Even Doc Mego is in no rush to add him to the repro list.

THE GORN. Gets totally knocked at every turn. Unoriginal, all his parts are borrowed. Totally inaccurate.

THE WALTONS. Yeah up on everybodies list when they talk about Mego. Spiderman, Hulk, Dracula, Jim Kirk, Spock......... and Gradma Walton and John boy. NOT

Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
                  Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Boss Hogg One of Mego's best sculpts. An exact likeness of the actor. I bought a carded one for $7 plus shipping about 6 months ago. Not even a hidden auction. Now that's an insult.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Beautiful Lainie, the Dancing Doll. Hardly ever on Ebay, and the few that do make it are always broken and sold for parts. When people think Mego, they think action figures, but this awkward looking and moving doll was very much a part of my childhood. I made her dance until the motor quit, and after that, she was still used as one of my 18" fashion dolls. Sadly, the one I own today is broken, (both physically and mechanically, thru no fault of my own), and it is my wish one day to get her working again, so she can join her fellow 18" fashion divas on my doll shelf.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I also agree on Eagle Force. One of my favorite toy lines from Mego that seems to get very little love.

I agree with the Gorn, total crap. Doc Mego is fixing that error, tho.
