I found my first wink

I remember my Megos' having winks as a kid. I seem to recall having one that had to either come frm the neck hole or the hole in the bottom part of the orso. It was huge.

When the holes in the torso were cut out sometimes the round pieces fell inside the figure. We call them winks. Occasionally you'll find them in the finished figures. Somebody once tried to sell some on ebay, trying to make off they were collectble or something. It just kinda snowballed from there.

Are 12" winks more valuable than 8" winks? One would think so since there weren't as many 12" figures. Still, if collectors are stuck on the 8" wink format, prices may not go so high.

I have a hulk with a wink. I thought i would take it out because it makes it rattle and I didn't like it. Dumb me. LOL. Well now I am glad that I didn't remove it.

Glenn kind of tapered off the Museum years ago, but he'd often come back, leave a few posts, and be gone again for months at a time.

That hasn't been for a long time.

I don't think he's posted in 3 years now.

I actually have 4 or 5 but not sure where they are. In a pill bottle or something somewhere. Maybe I'll put them on ebay to help pay for the kids college tuition.

Totally worthless. We're just messing around. We used to have a guy around here that started a wink collection as a joke. Members would send their winks to him. He had a board that he displayed them on with the name of the member who donated and the figure it came from.

And to answer another question, I've found 4 or 5, all of them from loose figures.
