I personally would just leave it as is, unless you won't ever take it out, then you can reseal it if you want too.
But if it were mine, I would just leave as is and maybe pick up a clamshell case for it.

yeah - a clamshell would keep it all together and make a nice display. There is always the possibility of damage to the card if you try to remove any of the original bubble to attach a reseal.

yes I can always take the figure out as it is and a clamshell is a good idea
any ideas what this is worth?

I'm no expert at resealing but to me it would depend on if it can be resealed properly and still look good. If it can be done and look clean I'd go for the reseal.

I'd go with the clamshell option. Man, I like the Palitoy Alien cards much more than the US ones. Too bad it looks like a bit of "Cheron rot" is starting to take place. Once it starts I don't think you can reverse that.

I tried the saran wrap around the black body trick to see if I could slow or stop the brown from creeping onto the costume while it was in storage. This is reminding me to take it out and see if that helped.

Apparently you can't stop it once it starts, but I don't know what starts it. I bought a loose Cheron about 10 years ago with no sign of rot, and he's been sitting on my shelf ever since and still looks perfectly fine. This is one of the weirder kinds of deterioration that doesn't seem to happen with any other figure.

In the 2011 ToyBiz price guide, a sealed (Mego) Cheron was going at $180.00 that was 5 years ago,
no idea on a Palitoy version but guessing maybe in the $250 range? but that's only a guess.

have any of the emce cheron figures done the same as the originals and left marks on the white parts.does varnishing the body stop the colour coming through onto the suit.
