    Hero or villain?

So you're 8 yrs. old, in the back yard w/ your buddies and your Megos are sprawled out all over the grass, as you guys choose up sides. Who are the good guys? Who are the bad guys? More importantly, which did you prefer to be?

I know when I used to bring my GIJoes to school, this one kid Sam would always want to be the villain that wanted to take over the world. He had the maniacal laugh down pat! He would have been perfect in a James Bond film.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

The Lizard, or Spock - depending on the day, and who had what megos.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."

Well as most of our battles were with an assortment of Star wars,Star Trek and Black Hole figures we used to pick sides like in school yard footy....I always ended up with most of the baddies though....their costumes are so much cooler....

Because I didn't have them, I coveted the Joker and Penguin my neighbour Mike had. I used to hide the Joker before he left and make sure he would go home without it. Then I'd call him ten minutes later and say he left it at my house.

I'd return it the next day but not before getting some mileage out of him.

So I guess I was the villain really.

I was always Spiderman. When we played Dukes of hazard my brother and I both wanted to be Bo. Paper sizers rock determined who was Bo. I guess it was because we are both blond hair blue eyed.

I was always the good guy. I didn't have any villain Megos, but when I got older and into GI Joe RAH, MOTU, Transformers, Super Powers etc, my friend Nathan was always the lead bad guy, and I was always the lead good guy.

                      He's a lawyer now. Coincidence?

I would be both. I had Mxy and The Lizard, so I most often had battles with Supes and Spidey. Me and my brother would be baddies and goodies, depending on the day.

My friend and I didn't have any Mego Foes so we used the POTA Ape Soldier and the Mad Monsters as bad guys. We both played both parts with an emphasis on the heroes! The bad guys were just props really.

As the oldest boy, I was always the hero. My two brothers had to be sidekicks or spock and bones.

I would have to say Villian all the way. Even know I am constantly told by others that I am a really nice guy in real life. I like The Riddler as a villian. I think because he has a cool costume. Too bad the ?'s are not $'s signs though. I had to make up my own Mego custom character and I named him Money Man. The old saying is if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.
