We did do stuff like that! Just didn't film it. My brother, friends and I abused the heck out of (all) of them. That's why they were called Action Figures. However, nothing topped Evel Knievel and that dirt bike. Until we got old enough to ride our own dirt bikes and realized what it was really like to be an action figure (not always too fun, busted broken limbs and some blood). I remember those "playing men" days as we used to call it back then very well, right up with pulling them up cliffs with a string and tossing them off, dragging them with the Schwinn Banana seat bikes, tossing them into power lines with make-shift parachutes and of course burying one in the back yard. I even lost an evel knievel once in a lake, thinking it could float like a Mego, huge bummed out little kid there! Thanks for the post. It does bring back the memories of why I ever sought to collect these in the first place. It was to replace a feeling or memory of a feeling. Thanks to those who did not abuse them. Sorry but when I stopped abusing them, is when I stopped being interested in playing with them. I must have been probably 9 or so. But that memory still exists some 40 years later.

love seeing the legs of the kid running away as they blew up the shuttle with a firecracker. Those were the good ol' days. 8)Comment

Very raunchy, I could see this on a double bill with I Drink Your Blood.
That's pretty much the movie we would have made as kids also.Comment
