Another change I just noticed to the Wayne Foundation art: On the 12" boxes, the penthouse has been removed.

I've been looking for the purple-boxed Batman for years now. Mark H. had one at FX but the 4-digit price tag was a little out of my league. But it was nice to see one in person at least. One day though....

I don't remember these as a kid, but I've seen the commercials on YouTube. I really like the box art on the back of the last box.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I have lots of love for the 12" WGSH! I'd owed owned the Spider-Man (web slinging version), Superman (movie version) and also gave my brother-in-law a mint in box Spider-Man (regular 12") for his birthday 3 or 4 years ago.

I have really wanted the Magnetic and Fly-Away action Batman and Robin. Love that 9" Robin, as well. That first verison of Superman is pretty darn cool, I think, and the Hulk is just bad a** looking.

I hope to accquire all of these at some point in the future, but it's going to be a very tall task.

Excellent read, I wish the 12" Heroes got a bit more attention. I actually have much clearer memories of playing with them as a kid than I do the 8" Heroes. I have very fond memories of my 12" Batman, Superman, Spidey and Hulk.

Thanks for an interesting read. You learn something new and see something new here every day. I didn't know the 12" Batman had such a rich history of variations in packaging
