Not really one of the best stories or anything - but maybe the most important toy promoting comic: Marvel Superhero Secret Wars since it introduces the Black costume.

Transformers were the same way. It got so bad that every comic issue turned into...... I am Blotbot and I will shoot you with my X Ray Laser. HA I am Turbocon and I will deflect it with my sonic sabre. Whole comics were just characters introducing themselves and talking about their assesories.....

Of coarse I bought them all anyway............
